We are so excited to share with you what we've been working on this week in Exploring Music 6!
On Monday as students came into class they were greeted with a YouTube video of the song "Firework" by Katy Perry! Students made many intelligent comments about how the song was made using the same Garageband program on the Ipad that we have been working with! Students learned that the video was a karaoke track or just the back up music with nobody singing. Students then learned that they would be creating their very own karaoke track to the song "Ode to Joy" by Beethoven, which they learned to play on the guitar earlier in the term. Today (Friday) we finished up our "Ode to Joy" karaoke tracks! On Monday we will get the chance to play the melody on the guitar while our Ipad accompaniment that we composed plays in the background! Check back next week to see some videos of us in action!
